Poor Form
Exhibition Runs: 9- 28 August 2017 Paolozzi at The Arches Festival Pop-up, Waverley Arches. In partnership with Edinburgh Beer Factory , place+platform presents 'Poor Form' in collaboration with artists from Poor Art* collective. Much like the Pop-Art movement from the 50s and 60s, of which Edinburgh artist Paolozzi was king, this exhibition takes inspiration from popular culture, with lo-fi wit and humour at it's core. As part of LeithLate 2017, place+platform and Poor Art* are collaborating once more to present Pics or it Didn’t Happen, an exhibition that seeks to explore imagery at the fringes of conventional, mainstream forms of representation: rejected or ‘found’ photography; copies and repetitions; missed moments; documentation; unintentional art; and so forth.
